Beth and Nina with Michael Edlavitch, the owner of Hooda Math, on Pi day

Welcome to Math!  My name is Beth Esposito and I am one of the Math teachers for the 6-8 team.  I have been teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools since 2006.  I am passionate about teaching in the community where I live and I feel strongly that Minneapolis Public Schools is the best place to be a teacher and a student!

I live in South Minneapolis and have a lot of pets; 2 dogs, Maizey and Harper, 2 guniea pigs named Cappi and Gustav, and a cat named Finley.  All of my pets have been rescued from various

animal protection sites in Minneapolis.   I love to take Maizey and Harper for long walks around Lake Nokomis by my house.  I can often be found at a myriad of sporting events.  I have season tickets to the twins, love to cheer on our local champions the Lynx, and will often attend Wild games; but my heart belongs to the Chicago Blackhawks. (Go Hawks!)

I'm excited to work with students in the Marcy community.  I know that the transition from a self-contained classroom to a mini-middle school model can be challenging.

Our team is committed to supporting every student through this transition and helping them to be successful.
