Buy a Brick, Build a Labyrinth Support the Marcy Open Community and Marcy Holmes Neighborhood in transforming the unusable space next to the playground with a 30 x 30 foot labyrinth as a focal point that will be a permanent Peace destination to all with a donation brick pathway leading to the sidewalk. Marcy Open School offers a learning climate where the student is the center, emphasizing academic achievement as well as personal development that promotes lifelong learning and individual goal setting. Learning takes place using integrated, project-based curriculum in which students are taught to take responsibility for themselves and their learning. Teachers function as guides and facilitators of learning. Marcy strongly promotes learning through the arts by involving students in arts activities with local artists through the Marcy Arts Partnership; and emphasizes a commitment to peace education through its membership as an International Peace Site.
