Minnesota Reading Corps (MRC) has been in partnership with Marcy Open School since the fall of 2007. MRC is an AmeriCorps program which is a statewide initiative to help every Minnesota child become a successful reader by the end of third grade.

Tutors provide twenty minutes of one-on-one reading interventions daily, outside the classroom-based core reading instruction. Eligible students post reading scores that are below grade level, but not low enough to qualify for special services.
Tutors also engage families in helping their practice reading at home through the RAH, RAH, RAH program - Read at Home, Read at Home, Read at Home.
