Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This year is going to bring lots of new experiences for all of us adapting to Distance Learning, but I know it will allow us all to grow in many new ways!

A few things about me... I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1999 in grades 3-8, but middle school is my favorite! I was born and raised in the Twin Cities and went to Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After teaching there for 3 years, I decided to return to Minneapolis. I live in South Minneapolis with my husband and our 2 children (a 7th and 11th grader in MPS) and love all the great things our community has to offer.  Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking (and eating, of course), reading, walking the dog and kayaking out on the lake.

This year I will be teaching 6th grade Minnesota Studies, 7th/8th grade U.S. Studies, and Advisory. Students should join their classes through invites to Google Classroom, accessible from their student emails.  Everything they will need will be linked from classroom pages.

Email is the best way to get in touch with me. I look forward to partnering with all of you. Reach out with any questions or concerns.
